Jodie Doody, is a classically-trained vocalist, dancer and actress, performs her excellent Shania Twain tribute show 'STILL THE ONE'; available to book throughout The Midlands.
For over 15 years, Jodie's has performed her tribute to the most successful crossover Pop/Country Artiste Shania Twain! As a huge fan of Shania, Jodie's tribute show promises to be as authentic as you’ll ever find, the mannerisms, the voice, all the hits and of course the famous outfits of leopard print, hats, coats and boots. A well polished, highly entertaining performance guaranteed. Jodie brings a whole evening of Shania Twain (2 x 60 min sets if required) or a set of Shania’s greatest hits followed by a set of mixed popular country songs or general covers. Jodie performs at Cabaret Venues, Clubs, Parties, Hotels, Theatres, Holiday Parks, Restaurants and more.
Jodie Doody also performs as a solo vocalist on the entertainment circuit with various show themes: 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. In addition, Jodie is also part of a duo performing popular movie tribute shows with her husband, ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ grand final winner in 1996 Paul Doody. All these shows include choreography, costume changes, audience participation and non-stop hits.
Background
Jodie Doody started her professional career in modelling, performing arts and TV commercials at only 4 years old as a student of the famous London school ‘Sylvia Young’. Jodie is highly trained with extensive exams and attendance at; Trinity College School Of Music, Guildhall School of Music, LAMDA, ISTD, IDTA, RAD and is recognised both here in the UK and in Spain for her Spanish Dance and Flamenco, she is still a long-standing and cherished member of ‘The Spanish Dance Society’.
Numerous performances on the West End including ‘The London Palladium’ and ‘Saddlers Wells’ and other national and international theatres in many leading roles, her favourite to date has to be, playing the part of ‘Nancy’ opposite Ron Moody himself as ‘Fagin’ in his last ever stage performance of ‘Oliver!’.
Jodie has also toured the UK with ‘The National Youth Music Theatre’ and was chosen for the lead role in the show by none other than Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, who produced and directed, it was a huge success and a very enjoyable and memorable experience for her that she cherishes.
